CVSPECTRUM SLIDE LIBRARY HELP

The CVspectrum Slide Library contains presentations that can be viewed and/or downloaded in their entirety. You can also search the entire slide database using key words to find slides on specific topics.

These presentations are certified for CE credits. Before viewing or downloading a presentation, please read the CME information and requirements by clicking the “CME Info” link within the Credit Request column. Once you have completed the activity, download the Credit Request, Evaluation, and Posttest by clicking the “Download” link within the Credit Request column.

The CVspectrum Slide Sorter also allows you to create and download custom presentations from any of the available slides.

Viewing Presentations

To view a presentation, click on the presentation title within the Slide Library main page or select a presentation from the drop down menu at the top of any individual presentation screen.
Each presentation page displays 10 thumbnail images along with the corresponding slide titles. You can navigate through the pages of slides in each presentation by clicking the next/previous buttons or selecting a page number at the bottom of the presentation screen. By clicking on a slide's thumbnail image, you can see a detailed view of the slide, slide notes, and slide title.
To view a larger version of the slide, click on the image within the slide detail page.

Searching for Slides

To search for slides on a particular topic, type in a word or phrase and then click on the "Search Slides" button. All slides related to the word or phrase entered will appear in the results screen.
Use the "Advanced Search" to limit your search to specific topics and presentations. You can also search by "any", "all words", and "key phrases". The "Search Archives" check box allows you to search other slide presentations that may not be visible within the Slide Library main page.

Downloading an Entire Presentation

From the Slide Library main page, click the "Download" button to the right of the presentation title. When prompted, click the "Save" button from the download popup. Select the location on your computer where you would like the presentation to be saved.
When you download slides from the Slide Library, a compressed/zipped file is sent to your computer. When you try to open it, your computer searches for a utility to unzip the downloaded file. If the file does not open automatically, you may need to install a utility that performs this function, such as: WinZip 8.1 Evaluation Version for Windows.^®
Once you have completed the download process, you will need Microsoft PowerPoint^® to view and edit the slides on your computer.

Creating Custom Presentations

CVspectrum Slide Sorter is a tool that allows you to build, save, and download custom presentations from the database of available PowerPoint^® slides on CVspectrum.org.

The ability to build custom presentations is not currently available for Mac users. If you are using a Mac, please download the full presentations from the main Slide Library page by clicking the "Download" link next to each presentation.

Select a presentation or perform a keyword search to find slides that are related to your topic of interest.
Save slides to your CVspectrum Slide Sorter by checking the "Add to My CVspectrum Slide Sorter" box next to the slide's thumbnail image and clicking the "Add Selected Slides To My CVspectrum Slide Sorter" button at the top of the presentation window. You will receive an alert informing you that your slides have been saved to the CVspectrum Slide Sorter.
Continue searching and adding slides to your CVspectrum Slide Sorter. Slides will remain in your CVspectrum Slide Sorter until you remove them, download your presentation or close your browser.
Click the "View My CVspectrum Slide Sorter" link in the upper left hand corner to view the slides you have saved.
To reorder your presentation, click the "Move Up" or "Move Down" arrows beside each thumbnail image until each slide is where you want it positioned.
To delete a slide from your presentation, check the "Remove From Your CVspectrum Presentation" box beside the slide thumbnail and click "Remove Selected Slides From Your CVspectrum Presentation".
Click the "Click To Download Your CVspectrum Presentation" button at the top of the CVspectrum Slide Sorter window. When prompted, click the "Save" button from the download popup. Select the location on your computer where you would like the presentation to be saved. The file will be saved as "Presentation.exe".
Once you have completed the download process, open the file "Presentation.exe" and your custom presentation will be created for you with "CVspectrum Presentation" and today's date as the title. You will need Microsoft PowerPoint^® to view and edit the slides on your computer.
